3/30/2020 0 Comments tomb raider (2018) SPOILERS AHEAD! Even though, you all probably watched it by now, lol. I'm just giving you all a heads up to those who chose or haven't watched it. Okay, wow. So, I finally decided to watch this movie after two years. Yeah, I know *head hung down shamefully* or maybe not? Lol. So, I was torn to give this movie a three stars or four stars but I ended up giving a three and half. I do appreciate how the movie had put some scenes from the game itself so that was pretty cool and I thought it was well done. And of course, we can't have a movie without the clichés "the fate of humanity is in your hands!' "if you're watchin this then that probably means I'm done" I mean...really??? DID YOU HAD TO PUT THAT IN!? I honestly rolled my eyes. Goodness. As I had mentioned before, the movie did put scenes from the game itself such as: We met Mathias way too early but he could've been a really awesome villain but something...lacked. Maybe it was the fact that he wasn't 'evil' enough. Finding the dad....Richard Croft. I'm sorry but no just no. I was really disappointed with that part of the film and besides, it was easy to guess who that figure in the woods was when Lara was chasing after that figure. I mean, Richard was supposed to be dead for a reason. Just stop bringing people back to life. However, I really liked how Alicia Vikander did the job of Lara Croft although her squealing of every time she falls or something annoys me, I did felt she did a fantastic job as Lara Croft and I actually want to see the sequel. Oh! THE JUMP SCARES! UGH!!!! The jump scares were so obvious but yet, I still got scared??? Wut? Like, I expected it but I still got scared!!!! But regardless, the movie wasn't that bad but the writing could've been better as well as the plot but I wanted so badly to have Roth, Reyes, Sam, Grim, Whitman, Alex and Jonah to be in there. Honestly, what happened to Jonah?!?!?!?!!?!? He played essentially the biggest role of the games even though he kept asking 'are you okay' throughout the entire game lol. But how could you not include Jonah!?!??!?! Or even Roth? Honestly, that whole 'finding Dad was alive' is so stupid and overused!! Ugh! Don't get me wrong, having dead parents is also overused but Roth!!!! How could you not use them?? Jonah better make an appearance in the sequel. It's already too late for Roth but not for Jonah. Regardless, it wasn't bad per say but it wasn't great either. The plot could've been better and less predictable. I just really hope we get to see Jonah and where Jonah is actually useful in the movie instead of the game where he constantly asks 'are you okay?'

FROZEN 2 CAME OUT AND I'M WRITING A LONG OVER DUE POST! EEPPSSSSS! If you haven't seen the movie, I suggest that you actually do because...*Anna's voice* IT'S AMAZING! Honestly. Honest to goodness. Sugar to spices. It's better than the first movie, to be honest. And the songs...omg, i think I got them stuck in my head on a constant repeat. Send help and I feel sorry for my neighbors because this person right here is about to sing the songs even though she sounds like a dying cat. BUT ANYWAY! What's to like? The songs, duh. THE OUTFITS ARE EVERYTHING! OH MY GOODNESS! *dies of Fangirling too much* and I LOVE LOVE how we see more of Arendelle's surroundings and not just the castle. So, that's pretty cool and it was also cool how we got to see the ice castle, naturally. WE GOT TO SEE MORE OF THEIR PARENTS! WHOO-HOO! And I love...LOVE Elsa's power. She's grown to them so well and my baby is just so so happy and I'm a proud momma. I mean LOOK AT HER T_T Have you seen anything so pure?? Hair down, new dress and she just looks so free now. Ack! *Fangirls even more* and the designs...oh my Goddddddd the designs are so heavenly pretty. They're gorgeous. And I cried when I saw her new transformation; it was gorgeous. *sob* Also, I love how Elsa made a new salamander friend, Bruni but at the same time though, that scene reminded me a lot like Rapunzel when she was talking to Pascal. I can't be the only one where I see the similarities? The only thing that is different though is that we actually see Elsa meeting Bruni. We never got to see how Rapunzel met Pascal. But either way though, it was still cute. That's all cool and all, but...?
Ahhhh it PAINS me to say this but I honestly felt like the plot was lacking and the magic wasn't really there. Magic as in the thing that grabbed me the most when I was watching the first movie. It wasn't really there for the second one. I mean, the animations for the second movie were stunning but the magic wasn't there and, I don't know if this was just me, but it felt kind of rushed? Also, to be honest, I didn't really much enjoy Anna's songs. Kristoff's songs were okay but I definitely like Elsa's songs more. Did you enjoy Frozen? Comment below! |
