HONOLULU, Waikiki
In the hot heat of August, my family and I went for another vacation!
Despite the fact, it was incredibly hot, since you know, we decided to go in the hottest month, we all gathered our things and went for Hawaii! There were two things that made our trip special. One is because it's Hawaii and the other thing....it was my birthday week! We went on the two weeks and that one week happened to be on my birthday! At that time, it was my eighteenth birthday! Woot!
Anyway, we reached the Hawaiian airport and we checked into our hotel. During our vacation, we rented out a car since we wanted to explore more of Waikiki and what it has to offer. For the first two-three days, we'd stayed at our beach that was near our hotel; it was only a block away from the beach.
The beach was nice with its white sands. The water was alright too; like there were times where it was cold and I didn't even went to swim because it was too cold to swim. So then, after a while, we decided to go on a small adventure.
Since we rented out a car, we figured we could go driving around Waikiki and see other beaches/lagoons and they were beautiful! I prefer the lagoons over beaches for unknown reasons that are known to myself but even I don't know! I know I keep saying they're beautiful but they honestly were! They were gorgeous! Stunning! There was a small church that would occasionally ring its bell because of weddings and my goodness, the brides looked stunning! The dresses they wore with laces and flowers for patterns were absolutely gorgeous!
We then out to Oahu to go one of the most popular visitor attractions: Dole Plantation.
It was cute. From there, we went on a small mini Pineapple Express Train Tour, seeing the Plantation Garden Tour and as well as the Pineapple Garden Maze. Other than the Dole Plantation, we also went to do some hiking at a place called Diamond Head. The view was spectacular! But it was also exhausting so I'd recommend to bring hiking shoes and water bottles which we did but it was still so tiring and definitely don't go when the weather is at its hottest.
Is Hawaii your number one for vacation? Where would you like to visit in Hawaii?
